This Week in Gotham – 10/7/2011

As you read these very words, the closed beta test for Gotham City Impostors is under way. To those of you that are in it – what are you doing here? Get back to Gotham and start wrecking each other! (The beta servers will be up all weekend! So what are you waiting for?) To those that didn’t get in, make sure to check your spam filters for any email from This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . You never know, maybe you accidentally missed your invite? Now, let’s get a move on with this week’s wrap-up!

The closed beta is here!
To those of you that are joining in on the closed beta, your time has finally come. It won’t be running for much longer, but make sure that you go out and get your fill of action before it closes down for good! Check the email we sent you for all the details, and we’ll see you in the streets.

How’d they get so handsome?
Being the Art Director for a game like Gotham City Impostors is no simple feat, but someone has to do it! We sat down with David Longo, the Art Director for Impostors to find out how the whole project came together, what it was like working on a game as crazy as Impostors, and how it was spending time with the legendary Jim Lee. Read it all right here.

Make your vote heard!
Let’s face it, your desktop background is pretty bland. We know, we know, you kind of like it. “It’s not too distracting!” you say. But you know what? It’s time to spruce it up with an Impostor of your choosing. Head on over to our forums and cast your vote to decide which Impostor will be turned into our first desktop background! You can make yourself heard right here, and once a winner is chosen we’ll post the results right here on our blog.

Keeping up with the chaos
If keeping up with a blog isn’t always your favorite thing to do, why not like our page on Facebook or follow us on Twitter? We’re constantly updating both of those with all of the latest information that we get our hands on, and sending it out on those two channels. So, why not let us help keep you in the know? It’s informative, and fun too!

That’s it for this week! See you all on the other side of the weekend. We’d say go out and enjoy the weather, but chances are pretty good that it’s raining where you are. (Or, at the very least, it’s pretty of cold.) So stay inside and play video games! That seems like a good option, right?
