A Bearstalker can more than dent a tanked Mighty, especially if you are at a proper range.
Burst firing is not the same as quick scoping for many many reasons, the first of all being that a CQC weapon is meant to be hip fired, scoping it extends the range of it's effective damage, a proper sniper will be outside of the effective damage range and will have enough time to either escape or pull out their secondary and return fire.
Besides, even without doing full scoped damage a sniper does about 100 damage, for the smaller bodies that's plenty enough damage to put us in a situation where a knife will easily finish us off.
Do you have good moxy?
A Mighty with Body armor, Horse healthy, and Hard target using a jackhammer will take more than 2 fully charged shots with the BearStalker. By that time you will be a pile of mush if the player isn't brain dead. The only real threat to a tanked out mighty is a lighter body type with the persuader, preferably on rollerskates.
Even with ADS on CQC weapons, the maximum range they are meant to be used at is at most medium. But I have burst fired the gate keeper numerous times across the map to take out a sniper who couldn't hit me because all I had to do was tap the trigger and strafe side to side; even if he did hit me he still wouldn't kill me.
Also the sniper only does 90 damage when not "fully scoped", and thats assuming they aren't using body armor or horse healthy which drops it down to 72 damage, assuming of course I am even in a situation in which I have the opportunity to hit you. At close range I will more than likely be dead unless I pull off a lucky headshot (assuming they don't have hard target). Or like you said I could try to keep my distance, only problem is that in order for my weapon to do it's full damage I have to stay scoped in which makes me lose about 1/2 of my HUD so I won't be able to even see if someone is coming at me unless they are directly infront of me. Not to mention the countless number of gadgets that make it easier than even for players to get in range where they have the advantage.
Well at least your not complaining about the bear stalker cause Id of told you to go f*ck yourself. But serious all that means is you gotta choose your spots better and actually line up your shots and if your as good as you've been saying you are then you shouldn't be have any problems it sounds like your just complaining cause things aren't as easy as they were before. Im glad they nerfed snipers now if they'd just shortened the range of when a shotgun one shots all would be good.
I noticed the change, yet I still snipe like a pro. You will get over it.
work on not depending on quick scopes to make up for terrible aim, or try ambush sniping, having good line of sight, not using the sniper with the fastest rate of fire because the faster they shoot the less damage they do.
It's funny how when you make a post on here saying to nerf something everybody says you're wrong and the game is perfect. Dive bombing takes pretty much no skill and is a little OP for mighties but if you say they need to nerf it a little everybody will say you're wrong. When they nerf a weapon that takes skill though than that's fine. I think most of the people here who are saying they like the fact that they nerfed the buccaneer are just people who always get owned by snipers in other fps games and aren't skilled enough to use it themselves so they just like for it to be as weak as possible. The thing is though even before they nerfed it the buccaneer already had to be one of the most underused weapons and you would rarely every see somebody using it in the top 3. I really don't see the point of nerfing one of the most underused weapons in the game that probably accounts for the least amount of kills in the game besides the marshal maybe.

Majority of dive bombrs are a 1 hit wonder... Why would you nerf that?
And TOP 3 is broken and pointless. I love seeing myslef get most kills, most assists, least deaths and still NOT make the top 3.
I think they should increase the time it takes for the scope to come up , so you know exactly when your damage is at 100% , decrease the accuracy of unscoped shots but in return restore the damage to 100%, would be more realistic.
I know, this is an arcade shooter and realistic isnīt what itīs supposed to be, but I donīt understand why a unscoped shot should do less damage than a scoped one, if I shoot someone from 2 feet away with a rifle it doesnīt matter if I scoped or not.
This, pretty much. Just have the accuracy screwed on a no scope and keep the damage. That said, people running around quickscoping and using snipers as a short/medium range weapon is just goofy. I applaud the effort to get rid of it. If you're sniping, you're supposed to reach out and touch someone. You shouldn't be seen, and if you are, you'd better mop up or book it to another hidden high spot. There are plenty of good sniping spots up high and from windows. Stealth builds with motion detectors or a trap near a choke point; or getting a sitrep from the targeting goggles work just fine. If you're in their range, you're too close and you're doing it wrong. At least wait until they're engaged before you gank that kill from a partner, that way if they turn to engage you, they get smoked on the ground. Tactics people. Stay out of killzones and tunnels/hallways/whatever. People using sniper rifles for CQC... Meh.
