Blahblahblah, If you're picking a Sniper. You're going to be killing people out of range of their weapons. (or even out of sight.) Why should you have the sudden bonus of being able to press one button and getting a kill if they happened to get to you? Without even needing to switch weapons?
Sniper is suppose to dominate long range, Which is the entire point of a SNIPER. Don't bring up the very flawed point of "It's a high skill cannon LOLOLOL". It's still a sniper, and now you have to actually use it where it's most effective.
Get over it, It's fair that a Sniper would need a CQC weapon. Since, Well.. Not even going to bother. This whole topic is so derp.

I love how CoD has made quick scoping a trend. One of the reasons I didnt buy MW3 was because they brought quick scoping back. Lame as F***.
I shouldn't even have to reply to this line of reasoning, of course you should require a CQC weapon to deal with a CQC situation, a sniper rifle is long range, it excels outside of CQC range and functions in a lesser manner at CQC range, quick scoping practically eliminated this diminishing excellence.
A sniper is supposed to be slow and steady.

Once again you speak from a completely biased point of view, Sniping in CQC was incredibly difficult to do, in 99% of situations the player with a CQC had a huge advantage and would more than likely come out on top. The nerf was completely uncalled for, the sniper was and is still the least used weapon because it is the hardest to use. Now it was made basically useless at medium-close range, therefore CQC weapons should be made useless at long range as well. Now instead of having the ability to compete with the strongest classes of the game for the top spots on the leaderboard, snipers are made to be just support players who hide in the corners of the map and somewhere in the middle of the leaderboards.
That's why you have a CQC weapon on back-up, a sniper has and always will be a support class, a sniper is not meant to be a close quarters offensive class, a sniper is not useless at CQC it is just weaker than the other present weapons (as it should be), a sniper dominates the long range and suffers in CQC, making every other weapon absolutely useless against a ranged opponent is moronic because it would unbalance the weapons, I use my secondary for ranged (scoped Gatekeeper) so I can stand a chance against snipers who I cannot reach with my CQC primary weapon, a sniper class should be built opposite, take a sniper weapon for the ranged combat and a CQC weapon for anyone that gets close.
It's not the games fault that you would rather die than change weapons when the situation needs it.

I use the bow when I snipe so this doesn't effect me.
But I WAS thinking about trying the buc out.
But if it means that, when I see a guy with the huntsman, bearstalker, partisan etc. in the distance at the same time he sees me. And he can take aim and start shooting me while I have to wait for my guns damage to change, then that is a disadvantage. At long range..
It just seems like so many are jumping on the bandwagon to prevent a gun from being effective at close range that they don't notice they're making it less effective at long range.

First off the Buc was never an effective CQC weapon, and now it is literally useless in CQC. Now with this patch it doesn't even dominate long ranges because by the time I scope in and wait for my gun to do enough damage to kill the guy that just saw me Im already filled with half a clip of bullets.
Second, the gatekeeper and most other weapons don't even need a scope on them to take out long range targets because all you need to do is burst fire the weapon to make it effective in a range it wasn't meant for... sound familiar? Thats because burst firing a CQC weapon is the EXACT same thing as quickscoping with a sniper. It's a technique used by players to extend their weapons effectiveness into ranges that they are not meant for.
Basically all this patch did was take away the snipers dominance of long ranges, made it a mediocre medium range weapon, and a useless close range weapon. While weapons like the gatekeeper and jackhammer continue to dominate the playing field because they are very viable weapons at all ranges. The only viable sniping weapon is the BearStalker, because it can be used at all ranges effectively by a skilled player, and even that cant dent a tanked mighty with a jackhammer.
