Why nerf the snipers?

The Bear Stalker is by far the easiest to use and does the most damage by far. You can abuse it big time up close if you just charge it preemptively and walk around without scoping it, and it's superior at long range too.

A la TF2? The sniper rifle there is ok too. The Buccaneer was easier than the Sniper in TF2. Full damage in less than a second.

Another thing to take into accounts is moving at all kills sniper accuracy. You might as well be sniping with a shotgun if you're moving at all.
So with snipers after the patch you have to...
A. Stand still for about half a second.
B. Wait a second after scoping.

I've noticed the snipers not doing nearly as much damage as before. I used to get kills fairly easily but not it's kinda hard. If it is a case of waiting to get full damage then there should be some kind of indicator as to when that is. It's not a matter of not being able to quick scope because I don't do that, it's just not very clear as to why things happens the way they do.
