    Re: Explaining Montages

I suppose that most montages should show some interesting single-kills, multi-kills, or good killstreaks; and either using lots of skill, getting lucky, or showing off awesome teamwork.

Montages of single kills aren't bad, no, but there should be variety in the weapons or play styles at least. As it is, generally people are going to get kills, and thus be able to put each one together in a montage.

I suppose there are places for both types of montages; the single-kill stuff for showing off the game to friends/family and subscribers, and the long special kill videos for showing off skill.

At this point, there are some of both types, though there ARE getting to be more of the former than the latter. This early on, we need both to grow the community, and as it grows, the crazy kill-based montages will come to turn the nonbelievers.

A montage is not something that can be whipped up in a couple of days after the game comes out, it can take months to get a legit montage.

For this game, a montage should have things like triple and quad feeds, crazy kill (like grappling hooks) and other things that you don't see every day, not average gameplay set to music.

i had fun making my montage. it was my first time trying at doing a video such as this...i didnt think it was too bad for a first try. i think the more videos out there of gotham city the better. ive been doing youtube vids for about a year now and working for a youtube network for about 6 months now and the one thing ive learned in my time doing this...not everyone starts out pro.
Nice, but single hatchet kills are very simple to get and slightly boring, if you get say a 3 man spray then a hatchet, that'll be better :P

yeah i hear ya, i just honestly dont feel like wasting harddrive space storing 8 minute long videos for a clip here and there. i prefer to just go have a fun time playing, if i get a few kills for the fun of it then why not. daytages are the only type of montage i'll ever make...plus i was just testing out a few effects in vegas...mainly the twixtor plug in i recently came across

on a side note why all the hate honestly...so some of the montages arent up to your standards...you should encourage someone to get better, instead of just stomping on them...especially you MajorNoobOwnage.
