    Explaining Montages

A montage is a collection of the best clips that you have to offer. Usually it is set to music, and edited with transition effects or something similar. A montage is something that can take up to 6 months to collect good clips. For an average player, a montage clip is a clip that is your best ever, a clip so good that you brag to your friends about.

A montage is not something that can be whipped up in a couple of days after the game comes out, it can take months to get a legit montage.

For this game, a montage should have things like triple and quad feeds, crazy kill (like grappling hooks) and other things that you don't see every day, not average gameplay set to music.

Most of that is purely subjective. You are explaining what YOU think a good montage is and how it should be like, and apparently other people beg to differ. You do what you do and they do what they do and let that be it, just don't bag on others people's work.

Who made you the ambassador to montages? A montage is whatever people want to make it. There are NO rules, NO boundaries, NOTHING and NO ONE that can say "this is what a montage should be". People don't realize that if everyone makes the same, recycled garbage that's "supposed" to be made, you're really not doing anything. It's the innovators, the ones who take chances, and take risks to create something original that benefit the game and it's community. People take themselves WAY too seriously on FPS. This is GCI for God's sake. It's a funny, quirky, slap-stick humor game. Why do we need these hardcore clips to be able to make a montage? I love making funny montages that I can whip up after a day. Like my last one. And it pissed soooo many people off for this exact reason.

Let everyone do what they want. Some trying to fit everything in a mold.

so then what is the point of watching a montage then? I watch montages to watch clips that I have never seen before, insane clips that I could never get, not something that I get regularly in every game.

Take the Rocky montages for example. Nobody wants to watch Rocky eat breakfast, shave and get dressed, because that's not exciting or exceptional.

To be fair, there are people who have been collecting footage since open beta way back in december. Thats plenty of time to get a good collection of footage.

Yeah, so then you would thing that some decent montage would have come out by then, but every montage I see is a single Jackhammer kill or a no scope with a Buccaneer. Go to MajorNoobOwnage's channel, he put out a Motivator gameplay today. Watch for my name in the killfeed, as I get two quads and a triple in that gameplay. If I recorded, that is the kind of clip I would put in a montage

To be entertained obviously. You like watching all that stuff, that doesn't mean everyone else does.

These montages aren't for you, then. Plain and simple. I don't want to see quick scoping or trickshots or 360s or anything in this game, ever. Grapple and hatchet kills are good enough. Realize that this is purely subjective, and that your way or my way or anyone's isn't the" correct" way because there is no correct way.

are you saying that you ENJOY seeing montages where the best clip is like a double kill? the community as a whole can do so much better than that!
