The only boosting that is getting people's stats reset in COD is from going on different teams and taking dives for each other. I'm sorry but I don't think there is a lot the developers can do to prevent people from taking a tactic to get a lot of kills. I wouldn't really want them to because they didn't technically break any rules or cheat.
From the very beginning, you should've used the better word: boosting.
But even then, this isn't boosting at all. Boosting is where people constantly kill themselves over and over again for the sake of getting through the game's level system faster. This would require both Bats and Jokerz to collaborate. If you weren't purposely part of this, then it's not boosting. If you were, then it WOULD be boosting and everyone involved (including you) would be in deep ****.
This isn't boosting. They weren't cheating or getting rank through illicit means, though they definitely weren't playing the game correctly if all they did was hold the battery every round without making one capture. In that case, all you can do is file negative reviews on each person on the enemy team (at best, Game Behaviour > Unsporting Conduct for not following the rules).
However, if they've made one capture, then there's nothing wrong at all. Annoying as it is, they're just preventing you from taking the battery and gaining a point. That's all there is to it, really.
I was sincere in my post. Yours was much more clearly written. I was still trying to grasp the concept and read through what TS was trying to say. Especially when he posted a link to google for me.
You are factually wrong, but whatever. I'm not going to keep arguing it with you. There are hundreds of results from various games resetting for boosting, and not the only kind you mentioned. If you want to be willfully ignorant, then OK, but don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining.
Not sure what that is supposed to mean. Boosting is when you let yourself get killed (BOOST stats). I'm not going to pee on your leg though, not for free.
You only described one form of boosting.
No, it is not. Boosting is when a group of players attempt to rank up through a game via any method that quickly garners experience (or whatever the method of ranking or score keeping is). It is not required to have two different teams. Tell me: how is letting yourself get killed "boosting" stats? That doesn't "boost" your stats by the very definition of the word "boost", unless your goal is to have the most deaths. Then you'd be boosting for deaths. The "booster" is the person playing the game in a manner which will level them up. What you two are describing is only one form of boosting.

Gotta put an end parenthesis behind that url for it to work when going to the wikipedia. (edited)
Anyways, this article sticks with the fact that they need to be on separate teams. I am not trying to upset you, I am simply saying I think you are misunderstood. Settle down a little bit. If you can show any links to support that something like this would be punishable on another game please post it. So far all we've seen is that boosting is something completely different than what you are describing.
