Honestly, Half of these wouldn't work well. Considering, How many people most likely have the Exact same plan. You'd have hundreds of idiots going to the nearest gunstore/whatever and heading out to the wild or what have you.

The difference however, Most would likely die as they wouldn't know how to live off the land. Or even know how to fire a gun.. Unless you're know-how in that kinda thing.

Even then, Holding down an area is bad as well. Zombies can out wait you, you have to get food or water sometime.

Well it depends on your region as well. For example me being from Scotlands guns are lacking big time here so baseball bats and other sports equipment will have to suffice and te best bet is to just survive out until the winter. The weather here is raining pretty much all year so providing zombies can still die from rotting the rain will speed this up somewhwat and even more so once the sun actually comes out. This is a very hilly country too with the population not even as big as London which is a just a city so we have plenty of country side and hills to stay on to avoid cities and the winter time will most likely wipe out any remaining dead or alive walking around outside.

I live right next to a fairly big graveyard, so I'm getting a kick out of this thread.

I really need to get my zombie contingency plans in order, however. If all hell breaks loose, it will most likely do so right outside my window, after all.

Oh, and Canada is cold and zombies tend to rot. Meat spoils more slowly in colder temperatures. But man, imagine being in the middle of the Amazon rainforest in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.

Even if a Zombie Apocalypse could happen it would most likely never get out of hand. If you follow the folklore of it you have to have some kind of blood contact with the zombie. So this leaves you getting close enough to one for that to happen. If it did happen it would have to be a coordinated biological warfare attack hitting major populated areas all at once across the globe. Even once this happens news will travel fast and people will start taking precautions. I could barricade myself up in my 4 story house (attic, 1st, 2nd, attic floors) and ride it out considering I would have food rations. What you say waiting it out wouldnt work? A zombie is rotting dead meat. How long will it really last until they deteriorate away? I'll tell you less than a week. Dont believe me throw a piece of steak outside in the sun and see what happens.
