Do you realize that the instant you use that you waive your right to complain about pretty much everything? Some kid stole $2000 from you? At least you had $2000. Someone slashed your tires on your car? What's a car? Your house burned down? We have huts where I come from.

    There's a pretty big difference between a 15$ game not functioning 100% and someone burning down my house, besides I just find it irritating that people can be so selfish that 15$ is some huge inconceivable loss, it's 15$, waiting a month for a fix isn't such a huge issue when you compare it to the child labor wages, starvation of the third world populations, etc.

    Not trying to be morally superior or anything but some people really do feel so entitled that the forget just how petty their problem truly is.

    I wasn't going to get involved in this thread, but that response was pretty laughable. I had to read it twice for it to make any sense.

    I guess I should come up with some retort now, though, since you'll probably be coming after me next.... so quit your whining. If it bothers you so much, go get a career in video game development and help them out instead of negging them. It's pretty easy for a consumer to sit behind a computer and nitpick at a finished product when their ideal wasn't met considering they've just barely managed to lift a finger to enter the credit card information and download the game. If it's bothering you that the end product is so incomplete and that Monolith has decided that they want to release all this new content all in one package, I suggest you try to reason with the fellow holding a gun to your head and making you play this game.

    In all seriousness, you should have done your research before purchasing impulsively then complaining. That's the truth.

    Seeing that there is new content being put in, that's essentially DLC. Yeah it can be called just a patch, of which it is, but they really aren't in the wrong for saying so, but they really shouldn't be putting game necessary updates into things like this. It should be updated as soon as possible, not being touted as content down the road unless that is just how long it will take them to finish.

    DLC= Downloadable Content
    Patch= CONTENT that you DOWNLOAD

    I see no difference?

    So when is this fix coming in? The DLC is nice and all, but I just want the game to actually work and not fail constantly.

    And the only reason they're releasing a free DLC is because of the problems the game is getting. If there wasn't this many problems I guarantee this DLC would be priced for sale rather than free.

    All I want right now is for the game to work. It's a great fun game when I can actually not lag out, freeze up, or get put on the otherteam for no reason when I'm already with a group of friends.

    Re: "Free DLC" isn't that just a patch?

    The problem here (and with gaming in general) is that somewhere along the line we as gamers somehow made it okay for developers to release incomplete games. How many games are released with major problems that take months to get fixed? Look at BF3 for instance. It's one of the biggest releases of the year. There were major VOIP issues on the PS3 and it took them 3 months to patch it. The party system still doesn't work properly in the game either and they still haven't patched it. Companies put out "Betas" 2 weeks before a game is released. What us the point? Nothing is fixable in that time before release. Look at Naughty Dog with Uncharted 3. They put out the Beta for it months before the game was released so they were able to actually make changes so the game worked on day one.

    If you're making a game like GCI that is online only, your FIRST priority should be making sure your matchmaking works and making sure your party system works. I want to play this with my friends but I can't because we can't get into a room without one of us being put on an opposite team. Now you have an issue with people having stats reset? How is that even acceptable? In a months time by the time they fix it a lot of people will have moved on to other games. I would much rather they wait an extra month to release a game if it means it's going to work properly

    Also, this in no way is "DLC". I mean come on, does anyone not believe they left out of the game so they could say "look how great we are, you get a new map and some guns".
