"Free DLC" isn't that just a patch?

I mean lets be honest here. This "free dlc"

Of all the things included, most of them are what normal devs consider a patch to fix problems.

The weapons and whatnot are dlc, the matchmaking system, is a patch.
(should be done now.)

One map? Thats dlc. The ability to mute people is a patch.
(should be done now).

New items/persk? Thats dlc. The ability to join ingame is a patch.
(should be done now).

You see the difference? I care very little for these devs, but being so stupid as to call things that should be fixed as soon as possible "DLC" and then prolonging the release of said dlc till a month after release.......is just bad.

The matchmaking is fine for most people.

The ability to mute people is in the game. When in game, go to players and you can mute them.

The ability to join ingame is a future for the dlc. Its not something that has to be in a game.

Maybe its better for the game to put it all in one big update, the DLC? Instead of one small update after an other, with the chance something could go wrong.

LOL yeah, waste half the match muting a player because of all the menu changes. Which takes a long time because its again.....windows live.(worse system ever).

No, but when half your team leaves would be awful nice if they put in some help.

What makes you think that they won't mess up in the big patch? I've seen a lot more mess ups in bigger patches then a quick patch or hotfix. Especially because you can fix it sooner.

Compared to all the players that can play the game just fine. Then yes, the game is fine for most people.

Yes, it sucks of people leave. But then again, a match almost never takes longer then 5 minutes.

I'm sorry but looking at all the threads on bad matchmaking and the need to FIX IT, it isn't fine.

Uh no, you don't have to do that for almost ANY game. There is almost ALWAYS a button in the tab menu or player lobby.

Matchmaking is horrible, the fact that they (according to YOU) have to take a month to fix it, it must be bad. Gonna argue that going through 4 slow loading tabs is fine to mute 1 player? LOL

I would say its a mixture of both but why does it matter? Your getting a new map, new weapons, new gadgets, new fun facts and new clothes. DID I MENTION FOR FREE?

If they want to use DLC to throw in some in-game improvements as well why are you complaining about it?

If you knew anything about game patching and the Microsoft & Sony certification processes you would have not even thrown that last sentence into your post. If they made a patch RIGHT NOW THIS SECOND and sent it off to be certified it would not be able to be applied to the game for 2-3 weeks if not longer anyways because of the certification process.

So if they want to go ahead take an extra week and just mix these fixes in with some awesome FREE DLC, why are you complaining again? All there doing is making the game better for you. Quit being ignorant and ungrateful.

Im sorry, but if everyone who dont have bad matchmaking would make a thread about it. People who got a real problem wouldnt get any attension. A person is more likely to make time to complain then to praise something.

I dont know how long it would take to fix the problem, and I dont really care. But what I dont want is something they put together real fast, just to please a small part of the comunity. But could mess up for the larger part of the players.
And muting all players can be done within 10 sec.

Actually, considering this is a new game with a small population, YES, it does need this ability. I am continually baffled by how developers have hundreds of great examples of things that SHOULD be in every game, and then they just omit them. I am sure a lot can be budget, but a lot seems to be ignorance and laziness as well.
