Gang Rank : How Do You Increase It?

The more you play, the higher up you'll rank. Although.. I've been doing exceptionally well, and I've yet to rank up.
Maybe there is a glitch with this.

You rank up by playing the map that is the "home turf" of your gang. I haven't played the game but in the beta, I could only get to rank 1 but there was a meter that showed my progress. I played the beta a lot and the bar only filled 10%. It probably takes a really long time to rank up.

My gang rank is a 2, I believe it goes up as you get wins on your home turf map.

Each gang has a particular map they belong to: Carnies to Amusement Mile, Killa Watts to Gotham Power, so on. So basically keep playing and after level 12 you will be sent a gang invite by whatever map you played last. Afterwards, it is seemingly random.

And you don't really pick your gang. If there's a particular gang you want to join, I would recommend trying to play on their associated map as much as possible.

Also, you can quit gangs and join other gangs, just in case you didn't know.
