I havent had my stats wiped though, but it does freeze up for me as i quit the game more than anyone i know/play with.

I also had about ten people or so buy gci because of me, they tried it out only because of me.. because i completely loved it and they saw me only playing that for a while. This was while beta was out btw, they tried trial when it came out and liked it. But then patches came out and only made it worse..and i saw them playing it less and i kinda feel at fault for them wasting money/buying this veryyy faulty game.
I really thought it was going to be this great game (&continue to be), but as Impoatah said, it was definitely better in beta. Minus region lock.

Idk.. idk what i should expect anymore. Besides the vague answers.
Just reallyyyyy had extremely high hopes for gci.

/in case anyone was wondering ive been playing since last beta on ps3.
Yeah, and this post (your post, that is) kind of shows one of the reasons why I made this thread in the first place - as much as I love GCI, I don't want to see Monolith scamming new players by refusing to just come out and say that the game is dead. (Well, IF it's dead, that is.)

And, just like you, I had some pretty big hopes for GCI. As awesome and loyal as the community was (I've never engaged with the community as I have here, after all) I thought that Monolith would work hard to keep it alive, not just to show the community their appreciation but also to secure our loyalty for future endeavors.

And like Impostah said, this seemed pretty likely for a while. But then it just... stopped. Somehow, the mood changed and that's when the lies started coming.

As I've said before, I think we deserve better than this. I expected them to work hard for GCI, but now I barely even expect them to work for it at all, and the fact that vague-as-**** answers are the best we can hope for now (apparently) kind of sucks - I think most of us expected them to be fairly open and communicative because that's what they told us they were going for.

Honestly, I'd rather them come out and say they aren't supporting the game.

Just telling us the truth of the matter, and letting us KNOW that it's dead.. Or if there is something, anything, be it patch or DLC. In the works.

Being put in limbo with vague statements and soul crushing silence doesn't do any of us favors for the love we have for it.

To the OP, thank you for making this thread. You could not be more right as usual. This is part of the reason I love the community of GCI. You people are smart enough to know when you are being lied to. You realize that just because you love a product, the makers of said product are not suddenly perfect gods to be defended to the death no matter how much they **** on you. Monolith should really recognize what the strength of a community like yours could do to help them if they were willing to meet half way.

    IT'S BEEN THREE MONTHS.

SERIOUSLY. Three months without a single word. A big chunk of the community already thinks that the game is dead and the devs are refusing to communicate with us. Meanwhile, people are still buying - and finding themselves unable to play - GCI.

It works great for you, huh? AWESOME. Good on you! It works less great for me, and for a lot of people it works not at all.

Dial down the Stockholm syndrome. Don't try to pass off their silence as wounded feelings.
You are right its been about 3 months, are you really going to complain about a game that works fine for you Olessius? Sure it doesn't work for some people, those few cases imo deserve a refund for a game that doesn't work for them, nuff said. Thing is from what I have heard GCI is playable on both consoles, that being said the game isn't perfect and it shouldn't be. For most of the players, this game DOES work for them, its just not a few who can play, ALOT of people play, its SOME who are unable to play GCI. People in every game forum always have something to complain about the game they play, and when they give a patch people STILL complain, like Halo Reach patches, like the Gears of War 3 patches, Battlefield 3 patches, even CoD patches. It's always more and more complaining and it's really sad to see this community act this way.

When have I EVER said that it works fine for me? I said that it works fine for you - and much less fine for me.

The only game mode I can play is TDM and even then I often have to minimize the game and surf until it finds me a match, the game is laggy despite my internet being really quite decent and hit detection has always been a big issue for me. I haven't teamed up with others all that often, but nearly every time I have done so we have been split up, even if there were only two of us.

Oh, and "some people?" Try a ****ing lot of people

As a community, we're acting pretty ****ing awesome. We're sticking around and asking them to at least communicate with us even though it's only a half-dead arcade title.

Actually you said quote "It works great for you, huh? AWESOME. Good on you! It works less great for me, and for a lot of people it works not at all." so I take less great as playable, as you didn't say it was not playable for you. The game isn't laggy, that's just an excuse. Bad hit detection on some weapons yes, laggy, no. And I play solo, with small parties & full parties...so saying from experience when I play with friends the only time we really get put against each other are in-game joins & the occasional one person gets put on the other team which we actually don't mind, we have fun with it. Every game has it's issues, great games HAVE issues (ex. Halo 2). From the 320+ hours I played, I have BARELY heard by an xbox 360 player that the game is "unplayable". Also, for you to call it a half-dead arcade game is funny. Name one XBLA FPS that is even on the same continent as GCI is.

If something is only barely playable it isn't "fine." (You can probably mount a half-dead horse, but it won't make for a very fun ride.)

Oh, and the underlined part? That's like saying gravity is just an excuse for falling. There's lag and everybody knows it, so don't deny it.

Also, you are subtly misrepresenting my stance with the following sentence: "Every game has it's issues, great games HAVE issues (ex. Halo 2).", as it suggests that I am expecting a flawless game when I obviously am not. The entire point of this thread was demand some answers from Monolith; I didn't make it to lambast them for not creating an utterly perfect and flawless game.

Whether or not you want to admit it, three months is a huge stretch of time to go without any sort of communication whatsoever.

Also, what the **** is an XBLA FPS? (I'm strictly a PC player.)
