Really bad glitch/exploit?

I was just in a match with somebody who was invisible, like they were using the NSB, but I could see their gun, a Gatekeeper, and they were using it. I got killed a few times by them, it was really weird.
Is this some sort of rare and bizarre glitch or some kind of exploit?

I didn't, it was one of the few games I got a chance to play all the way through.

Well that throws my idea out the window! Now I'M lost....

I play on PS3 and have been dropped into a "game in progress" more than once, where I start off invisible with just just my gun but the rest of my body appears about 2-3 seconds later. then it plays fine afterward

Yeah, this is just a glitch/bug. It rarely happens, but when it does it's pretty annoying.
