What's your Ethnic Background/Nationality?

Pretty much what the title says. Personally, I'm a Portuguese Canadian with no knowledge of the Portuguese language. I wish I was fluent in it, though.

I'm Swedish, and my heritage is entirely scandinavian. I don't know THAT much about the family tree on my mother's side (only that we were all Swedish going back a long time), but I do know that we've got centuries of master blacksmiths and a Danish countess who banged a servant, got pregnant and fled to Sweden on my father's side. Actually, I've heard that there's a really old sword in a museum with my family name on it.

Oh, and there's a cool story in which one of my ancestors, the village's master blacksmith, spanked the abusive land owner. See, back in the day, there were people who basically owned a bunch of land, and they'd let people live on that land. Problem is, on that land they'd be almost all powerful because if you went against them, they'd kick you out and you'd pretty much be completely ****ed because you'd have no income, no way of getting food and no home.

So, this particular land owner was a HUGE *******, and when someone acted up (especially grown men) he'd call them up to his office, lay them over his knee and spank them in order to really humiliate them. I guess he got off on it or something.

Anyway, long story short, said ancestor of mine once got called up the office and wound up turning his fear into anger (which seems to be the norm for men in my family), putting the land owner over his knee and then spanking him. He got away with it because he was the village blacksmith and was... well, kind of crucial. I mean, if your tools broke down, how'd you manage without a blacksmith? This was apparently one of the really decisive moments that helped bring down that whole ******* of a system because before this, people didn't get that you could do something like this.

Oh, and I have high-ranking Mormon relatives on both my mom's and my dad's side. Kind of weird, honestly. It's like I'm the oh-so-tasty atheist slice of cheese between two big freakin' slices of crazy bread.

I'm Hispanic American. Mom born here but she's a Latina and my dad is Mexican but our origins are from Spain according to the shield that lies under my last name. Also, in Spain, there's a city that has my same last name. Guess which one and I'll send u a cookie.

Tá craiceann bán orm. (I have white skin)
I can only speak basic Irish, so I had to use google translate for some spellings :/ But, yeah. I'm fully Irish and can hardly speak the language >.<
