Damage Eater FAQ and Help Thread

    *** EDIT***

If you don't feel like reading all of this because you are tired of dying here are the quick notes. Make a Loadout with the Body Type you need. Pick Care Package or Energy Drink and Ninja Smoke Bombs. Keep exiting maps until you get East End (only picking the loadout you made). When you get East End hide behind the cones on the right by the diner. You will build up damage, no one will look for you, and you can self heal without being seen. (There is always a chance of getting caught! So stay alert!) It took me 4 matches to get Mighty Damage Eater (3000 Damage) on East End doing this. Works with all classes. Enjoy.

    *** EDIT ***

I hated this feat. I have only had the game for a few days but so far people aren't all that interested in helping each other out. Hopefully this thread will help people who are lost or need that help. The forum seems a little mixed on the information so I figured I would start a new post with what I know. I am sure I will forget things so feel free to comment below and hopefully we can all help each other get this for all of the body types.

    What I have learned:

    1. Damage eater is bull and was only made so I keep having to patch holes in my walls from controllers.

    2. You can not change body types or it resets.

    3. You die it resets.

    4. Possum Player does not help. If you get knocked down and need to get revived it counts as a death.

    5. If you are getting shot you can quickly leave the lobby and the damage adds up as long as you don't die.

    6. If your team loses it counts as a death and you are reset. (For this build up until you about to lose and leave.)

    7. It is all about taking damage and not dying. Don't stress about your team losing or winning. Just stay healed and take damage.

    8. Everyone says to jump in and out of the poison vat on the Ace Chemical Processing Map using the inflatable shoes. I think it has been patched to kill you. Never works for me.

    9. You can try to be a meat shield and take damage and run off to go heal or stand with a few people healing you but this tends to go bad fast.

    10. The best methods are on Ace Chemical on the open side you can stand in a flow of green goo and slowly die but you are exposed to enemies and it its recommended or the better option of standing in the green cloud o'death on Crime Alley or EAST END (See below).

    11. **** lobbies, bad server connections, and frustrating players who know you are trying to get this but still kill you are 50% of the problem. The other 50% is just having to get this at all.

    12. It seems the smartest games to try this on are Team Deathmatch and Bounty Hunter.

    Best set up:
    Falcon Blade, Gatekeeper Silenced
    Care Package or Energy Drink
    Ninja Smoke Bomb
    Wallflower and Kind of Bulletproof

Sub out Wallflower for Horse Healthy and sub out Care Package for Body Armor if you are trying meat shield.

The slow but painful method I have been using:

Join a game and if it isn't Crime Alley or East End leave quickly. If the game starts and isn't the right map you can still back out and it wont hurt you but you have to pick the body type you are trying to progress in or your stats will reset. If you do get the right one and it's overwhelming or you are about to lose just leave (no sense to dying for a lost cause).

Crime Alley (A little hard but works)
Once you get into Crime Alley run to the Bat spawn and hide behind the dumpster standing in the green cloud o'death it slowly builds up at about 1 point per second. Go invisible and just stand there until you get an opening to heal yourself with the energy drink or care package. Just stand close enough to the dumpster to get hurt by the poison but still be hidden.

East End (Easier and a little faster but nothing is perfect)
This also works with the East End map. Hide where the poison is by the Diner and it is WAY easier to get this. If you sit just right behind the cone on the right you can get damage at about twice the speed. So be aware of who is around because when you need to heal you really need to heal.
(Thanks Sink8 for that one! Can't believe I forgot East End)

All of the maps can be seen here with the poison areas marked off.

These doesn't always work because people will still walk up and wreck you and idiots from your team think its fun to stand by you like they are helping. Just keep trying. It sucks. Not going to sugarcoat it. It took me forever to get it on Tough but it is way easier than running and dying over and over. People suggest motivators but it def causes more attention than it is worth with these two options.

People will kill you, teammates will give your location away, and you will spend forever getting this. But it's worth it. Just keep trying.

Add comments below if you have any more input.

Maybe we can turn this thread into an official help finder thread since the forum seems a little lost.

I have died several times doing this but finally got Tough this morning. I am going after Mighty next and then taking a break for a while.

Hit me up on XBOX Vinny The Shill.

I am sure this is supposed to be in the Guide section of the forum but with the amount of questions and posts in the General Discussion section I figured this would be a good place to start.

Get a motivator at your back and you'll get damage eater no problem.

Should have named this thread "How to not play the objective and piss off your teammates in the process."

*not flaming you, just saying it seems every time I play and my team is getting absolutely worked, there are usually one or two guys dicking around not even trying to get kills, or so it seems.

on ps3 at least if you change body types it does not reset the bar. Almost had the tough body finished and i rarely used that body size. Would only switch to it occasionally and i was like 400 points away from damage eater. I left my room while searching, the game started forced me to spawn with last selected loadout and was killed before i could get back to my controller. I was certainly ****ing pissed off and haven't even tried for it since. Also like to mention i got damage eater for the burly body and i wasn't even in the room. I just dropped my controller near fum point 2 and ran down to eat. My buddy Namesekim kept me alive for a good 2 mins while my character just stood in plain sight lol. All i have left is the tough body feats and i'm done with them all except the mighty. I won't lower myself to that level of noobism. Speedy is by far the hardest to get. Couldn't tell you how many times i was so close and some noob a hole would come up at the very beginning of the game and noob tube me in the back lol.

Need a few Motivators for sure if you are going to try your luck as a meat shield. Its worth it either way.

I only did this thread because of the amount I saw with incorrect info and or just scattered info.

Didn't see a need to post in the forums until now. So yes my only posts are about this.

As far as screwing team objectives I would rather have a guy on my team going 0 and 0 than a guy going 2 and 20...

And I really dont know much about the PS3 issues because I have a 360 but from what I hear you may actually still be able to do the Acid Vat jump I mentioned in the post.

Like I said earlier... This post wasn't meant to be anything but a help thread for people freaking out on the forums haha...

I was more joking around than being serious, but any disdain for you was erased by the above sentence. Amen, brother! I still hate that someone can go 5-20 in Team Deathmatch and get MVP. I don't care if you had 45 assists and healed the health of others, you accounted for almost a third of the deaths on my entire team! Most Valuable Player, my mule! Maybe the other team highly values you, but not me!

*by "you" I mean the hypothetical, horrible tdm player, not you personally.
