Hatchet Tips?

Im Planning on mastering the hatchet but i dont even know how to use it properly i want to put it on one of my loadouts too but it wont really make my loadout any good without me knowing how to use it...
so could any experienced hatchet users give me some advice (Preferably Xbox 360 Users).

Here are some of the things I learned by experience using the hatchet...

1. when using it at long ranges make sure the retictule ( | | ) is above your target.
2. It may be easier to use when mobile.
3. Mighties are your #1 targets.
4. Use it before engaging a fight. (Before your target hits you)
5. If airborne, Ready your Hatchet... Land in front of your target... then... BAM!
6. Use it wisely... don't go for blind shots unless your 100% sure you wont be attacked.
7. The hatchet works best in tight places like a hallway.
8. The hatchet is perfect for ambushing. if fleeing run for a enclosed place (Indoors) wait and ambush!
9. If facing campers... Hatchet the bigger dude. If you can... shoot the life out of the rest.
10. When getting attacked by a group (they have to be close to each other) throw the hatchet and you will have a high chance of hitting one of them.

Tip: Put a hatchet on every loadout you have... after a while you will "magically" learn how to hatchet works.

Whatever you do don't just run around holding the hatchet button to throw at anyone you see, the hatchet is meant to be a replacement for your melee if you're too close, specifically used to take down Burlies and Mighties since they are bigger targets and slow to move out the way and should be picked up again if possible.

The hatchet isn't as versitile as a gun so make sure you have a powerful solid build first, speedies or nimbles with chaperone/persuader, desperado and insoles are very good for getting around quickly and making use of your speed and having the hatchet handy to take down big body types that are a bit too close or caught off gaurd.

This is a great weapon once you get used to it. It takes some practice and great aiming, and in some cases you can just launch it into a crowd and you are bound to hit someone. I recommend not chasing after it though because that can patently get you killed. Have fun with it, the hardest mastering of it is after death kills. I don't know how many times I just ran in and as I was about to die I just threw it. With allot of luck you will get that one. I love the hatchet and it is always my go to secondary!

i like to use my hatchet with my ninja smoke bomb. i de-cloak behind someone and tag them with it... usually an easy to hit mighty or burly. it helps if im about to fight 2 or 3 people to take out one right away.

it also is a great combo with a deep freezer for the finish once you chill them out.

Tip: Destroy camping fatties w/ it and make speedies rage when you hit them in the foot :3

my hatchet class is my only "fun" class, meaning its the only class i really enjoy using, and that i didnt create simply for the purpose of mastering whatever gun im mastering.

speedy
glider
peruader/penetrator ammo
hatchet

best map for use: east end

glide around hit them for 50 damage with the glide bomb (both to get proximity and to let them know youre there for a fairer fire fight)
PSYCH! hatchet them in the face as they turn around

loads of fun. still need 3 more post mortem kills to master, but i got all 100 kills and retrievals in an afternoon

be careful of defense rampages/prizes. only does 120 damage instead of an instikill.

Anyhoo, i cant add anything to th eexcellent advice give, i tend to play very aggressively with the hatchet, in this game igot 13 (cheap OHKs) with it, maybe there's some useful what to do and certainly some useful 'dont copy my mistakes' lol
