Anyone else never accept friend requests?

I feel kind of guilty about never friending people back on websites and PSN, but I don't like the idea of having any kind of attachment to most people I encounter online or multiplayer. How alone am I in this?

To each their own, but I think you are missing out on part of the "Multiplayer Experience". I dont accept random friend requests, or rage requests either.

I've gotten my fair share of random friend requests. I never know what to do with them. Most of my friends list is people I know in real life and I'm nearing that 100 friend mark so most of the time I just decline them. I feel bad about it, but blame Microsoft for putting a 100 friend limit.

If the person genuinly wants to play and be friends then yes I shall extend the hand of friendship from time to time but if the person is simply adding me for me being say the highest level in the lobby and says nothing else before or after the friend request then no thanks :L

Although I have accepted friend requests, and given them, I understand your feelings. I don't want to have to feel too committed, especially if I stop playing for a while, that's why I can never get into MMOs. I've turned off messaging too.
It doesn't help that I share an account with my little brother though.

I accept any friend requests in forums and psn, decline for the most part on fb (get away stalkers), and accept everyone in my psn accounts. Unless theyre alts.

I tend to accept them but if i never talk to them or game with them i delete them

I'll accept friend requests from people I've played with. That's about it. Anyone else usually gets declined.

But I'm kinda a hermit, so it's not like I get friend requests all the time. xD
