When are they going to fix party splitting?

I'm sick of this game splitting up me from my friends. It seems to happen randomly, everything is fine in the lobby and when we get into a match, we're on opposite teams.

To make things worse, when we quit and look for a new match, many times the game will put us right back into that match! Thankfully bounty hunter was added so we don't have to stop playing altogether when this happens, but it's still extremely frustrating! This is the only thing stopping me from recommending this game to other friends, as I don't see the point if we can't play together if they buy it.

Is this gonna get fixed or what?

I heard that it was addressed in the update that is going live on may 16th
