    The Axe of Lag!

So I'm playing today on PS3 and I have noticed since the update to the servers massive lag.
Now I try not to complain. I think there is enough of it already for things that seem trivial.

Today it really hit hard. I'm running around with my sniper loadout and I always do alright. Every now and then get some Glider Rig, Mighty, Body Armor wearing Hard Target sporting Jackhammer/Shredder wielding guy heading my way. Normally I loose out unless I axe them to leave me alone. Problem is with all this lag going around when I get my axe ready and point it at the guy I get a lag spike and end up throwing it way left or right. It's not just the axe that this is effecting.

I mean I know they added a FF to nerf the DF and everything yet it's not available to PS3 users so I thought I would run around with it until I felt the sting of Rummy. Now when I charge up a shot I get more lag and end up missing when I use to have an 85% hit rate. I'm now looking at a 35% hit rate and anything that does hit never freezes the target. To top it all off every now and then it jams up completely and will not fire at all.

I get disconnected from server far too much now as well. I was even in a PW match where the other team was winning and five people from the other team dropped right after the half time switch.
Is anyone else having these issues¿

having same problem with the lag affecting my game. I miss alot with the hatchet anymore because of the freezes. I've also been using the bombardier and the charge meter resets all the time on me, making me stand there like a noob and get slayed.

Are these bouts of lag caused by players joining ? I flipping hate that and it leads to far to many kills not happening or getting killed.

I don't think this is the case, because when they added drop-ins a while back I never had this issue. I think the reason would be after the server maintenance and adding global servers. I'm glad we get to play with people from around the world, I just want to be able to play the game without so much lag. Of course I'm just taking a shot in the dark here and could be way off, I just only started having this issue not that long ago.

I started a thread with this exact topic a couple of days ago and had a response from a community admin that they are aware of the issue(s). They believe that since they removed the in-game region lock i.e. players from Europe are now playing against others in America that the servers are not compensating well with the match drop-in feature. This is why when players quit and join active games it causes a lag spike. Hopefully they will be able to fix the issue soon.

At least they've acknowledged the problem and are working on a fix then which is good.

Thanks man this helps out quite a bit. Honestly thought I might have been the only one with so few replies but if this was posted elsewhere I understand. I took a few days off so that why I was delayed in posting. Probably not on the right forum page anyway. So an admin can close this thread out if they are already looking into it.

Gee thanks for the tip lol, I use the innersole for my bombardier class and i'll even freeze in mid air matrix style. And no this lag isn't from people dropping in and it's not the frame rate. In fact the delay was so bad one game I shot my bombardier and somehow managed to hit myself in the back with it. I have even had my bomb disappear in mid flight, then 3-4 seconds later it will reappear and hit nothing but I'll get hit markers from thin air, Guessing that was where the people were standing when I actually shot it. I am very good with timing and numbers, so i notice even the slightest delays and I can keep track of the damage numbers. So when the numbers don't add up I know something is wrong and I'm gonna have alot of *** moments

Not sure if this is related, but last night I had a mighty divebomb me on the docks from one end of the "crab shack" while I was on the other, right as I was throwing a hatchet at him. I got a postmortem kill.
