Yeah its definitely fixed! Used the Chap fot the first time in this promotion and got 110 kills with 35 close kills - so it's about as easy as the headshot feats for other weapons now.
Is it just me, or did they reduce the knockback for everyone thats not using roller skates?
Have to test it more.

Yeah, crazy--I think I was at 35 close kills after almost 400 total kills with the dang gun. Once I hit 1k, I was at a bit over 100; now, after a small, 7 game session, I have 35 more.

I am psyched to get that card, but shutter to think about all the new shottie users this will create...yuck! Still, with the feats closing faster, maybe us vets won't stay on them so long either.

Yeah, can definitely verify the close kills work properly now. Gone from 39 with the persuader to 173 in an hour or so. SWEET!!! can finally go for the Gold and Silver one as they are the only Camos I need for it now.

Can anyone verify if it still needs to be hipfired to register. I can't really be sure, as the game mode mostly has me concentrating on staying alive, let alone whether the feat registered. Lol, I sux.

Well, if they fixed the issue of them registering when close, it's a good indication that they do get counted when you ads.

Oh, dude! They totally fixed it. In one of my earlier matches I was able to sneak up right next to a sniping nimble, I pulled out mah persuader with reflex sight and BAM! Right in the kisser and I got that little pop up notification for progressing the close kills.
