Disconnected from LIVE

I can hardly play 10 minutes of the game without getting disconnected from this Games for Windows LIVE thingy, i have tried most of the things the forums suggested but none of them helped (opening ports, disabling firewall, etc.).
Can anyone help me with this? cause this game seems pretty fun and I cant wait to play it (without the disconnects....)

wait so your say that this game disconnects you from live mmmm this is a modem router problem not the game but try to reinstall the game and clear the ceache myb that would help my the update didn't go right for you try to re download the patch as well

There is a thread to address this issue; please bear with me while I see if I can find it.

Essentially it is believed this game is caused by an error with the Windows Log in Assistant and requires uninstalling and reinstalling a lot of basic Windows features such as Silverlight, MSN (if applicable) and doing a few cache tidy ups using an application such as CCleaner.

isn't sliver light and messenger for the PC i thought this was for the xbox not for the PC ? or am i wrong sorry if i am the thread said live i assumed it was XBL

I assumed it was the PC version as that is what I associate games for windows live assistant to refer too. Forgive me if I am wrong. x

didnt work, i still get disconnected (even tried running the game as admin without firewall)
btw i'm using a steam version on PC
