Do you care if your opponents have fun?

I am not my opponent's keeper. Some people can't have fun, no matter what. However, being completely soulless doesn't stop people from playing video games. Personally I always have fun, even when I'm not doing so hot. I'm lucky that way.

At some point there are things that bug everyone and make the game less fun. I like a tough opponent and even cheap tactics can be fun if you learn from them. Where I draw the line is actual cheating. If I truly suspect that I leave and move on. I think if I'm giving my opponent a good game their fun should be their responsibility and my fun mine. Last two promotion levels I was doing the burly, and then the mighty unlocks, that could not have been fun for my opponents all the time, but if they were that bugged they should have took a break.

Yeah, I guess what I am talking about is the stuff we all know that is much maligned. I like to think of myself as a good player, which is hard to do, using a health-stacked mighty, a motivating partner and a camp spot. If you think you are good using these set-ups, fine (you are wrong though, it is easy, boring and just lame); I just feel they are cheap tactics in certain situations. Against another team of good players, bust that out. If I find myself against something easier (like a bunch of new players), I play accordingly.

This game is different than anything else I've played before, especially in multi-player (only played the CoDs before this). The community is smaller, the deaths can be waaay more fun and in general, I find I am usually nicer to people.

I just don't get it when I see cheap play in GCI--like how can you take it so seriously? It's a bunch of funny looking bat/joker wannabes running around using ridiculous stuff. The theme of the game alone would make me feel lame if I used some pro tactics on some randoms, or even worse, an obviously bad team.

I'm all about the fun, camping in one area isn't my idea of fun, though i have tried it and almost got all of my motivator feats. Running and gunning is really what this game is about.

Example: I had a blast the other day, a one on one battle, me with my Deep Freezer against a Burly with insoles and a Falcon Blade. He was chasing me swinging like crazy, i couldn't get a good shot because I kept having to charge and reload and he was bouncing all over the place.. I finally got him and after that I took a minute to laugh. That's why I play the craziness and the fun.

Mighty campers and vultures isn't necessarily cheap but definitely over exploited. People find something that works and run with it. Plus I think the increase in bitching about these tactics has helped more people adopt them.

Before the patch I played MUCH more conservative.. back when no one would join a game after someone left.

Now I play more just to play and not worry. Specially since ppl rage quit for anything now.

I find it funny that some people consider some builds cheap or lame.. when the game is about counters. If I snipe I get accused of camping. If I glide I'm a girly burly noob. If I use NSB I get called lame because they never see me except when I pop out and kill a person. If I go skates w/ body armor I am being cheap for tanking. I even have people cry when, w/ them having the tactical advantage of a high point, I am smart enough to use rockets to AoE kill them. I am also being lame/cheap when I am rehealing on a health/ammo map point and the other team decides to attack me but I don't move off it (duh, it heals me).

Really I think more ppl attempt to ruin the fun for me than me for them. Because no matter how I play I get ppl whining about it. I play the build, not build something random to play.

i like to use cheap tactics and have fun at other people's expense. i don't get to spawn camp much but relish it when i do. if i can get someone to nerd rage on the mic or rage quit, even better.

actually i'm just kidding about all that. i like to play more challenging loadouts in general and come up with original approaches to combat. my point is that if someone is a doosh they aren't going to talk about it on here. the whole point of being a closet internet doosh is not having to face other people's grief and disappointment when you cause it.

I don't care if they're having fun or not truthfully. All I care about is if I'm the factor of their no-fun, then i care.

I admit to being a main motivator and playing with a party most of the time but that is what is fun for me. We usually do well but we are not serious at all, we just enjoy winning more than losing (like most people). When the other team is at a disadvantage of skill I do take advantage of that sometimes to try to complete my feats easier but occasionally I'll try something fun and new.

Also I don't find any loadout in this game to be "cheap". If something is works well then people will use it. I feel that my teamates or myself can counter most loadouts anyways with some quick thinking.

yeah, if i find a team of weak opponents, i'll use the opportunity to concentrate on some feats.

I'm kidding, yeah, it's important to have fun.
But if the other team is just camping and boosting, then the match just quickly spirals downward.
