Partisan vs Huntsman

I love the Partisan and have been using it for a while now but i was wondering how does the Hunstman fare against it? I've used the Hunstman for a little but never really unlocked the potential of the weapon i know it has more base damage than the partisan but how is it best used? Also wanted to get you guys opinions on which weapon you like better and what backups you use.

Huntsment is amazing.

It's much better for taking on groups/Mighties, it's Headshot damage is 105. Enough to destroy a Speedy, and nearly kill a Nimble.

Has better range then Persi, with Red dot, IMO. It's body is 56 at best.

I don't have a lot of experience using the Partisan, awesome weapon though. The Huntsman with the Red Dot Sight is the best way to go, the rate of fire is pretty good, but from a distance, I don't know how the Partisan is in CQB but I don't fare very well with the Huntsman upclose. Firing from the hip is ok but its best used while aiming from a distance.

I think the Huntsman is better at long ranges, as its more accurate and has a better range.
The Partisan is best used at mid range but also quite effektive at shorter ranges as it has a slightly bigger clip and the burst fire helps not wasting bullets.
I use the Partisan on my gatekeeper classes as a backup because i think its the better allround weapon to switch to in case your primary runs out of bullets in the middel of a gun fight.
I use the Huntsman on my persuader class, as the persuader rarely runs out of shells in a gunfight, but needs a backup to cover the longer ranges.

The one thing I dont like about the Partisan tho is, that (at least in the PC version) the bursts often dont come out, when i pull the trigger, but a secound later.
Dont know what exactly this is and if its intended or a bug, but it really can be annoying and makes the handling kind of tough sometimes.

I love the huntsman, because you can almost always win1v1 gunfights from mid-range with red-dot sight and a fast trigger finger. Unfortunately, it's iron sights aren't that good so red-dot is pretty much all you can use effectively.

I find the partisan to be a different enough weapon to the point that comparing them isn't completely fair. I used it more for a mid/close range gun due to the burst, but the lower accuracy made longer range headshots less reliable.

Overall, I prefer the Huntsman. I usually use a Persuader @ Reflex Sight as my main with a Huntsman @ Red-dot Sight as my secondary.

I prefer the Huntsman, every time i tried out the partisan on a loadout I always end up switching it up for the Huntsman. It is actually my favorite weapon. It can be used successfully at almost any range except very close quarters. Its actually very effective close range cause you can just pop it off as fast as you can not having to worry about the spread. at 55 damage you can use it without penetrator ammo and still deal nice damage to body armor users. Its great with a scope, Reflex or Red Dot. I use both on different loadouts. The iron sights were a bit awkward at first, which is strange because its just a circle, similar to the Dawn patrol's. It was probably just the thickness of the Iron sights circle that made it odd, but its not hard to get used too. They are definitely better than the partisan's sights, IMO, and if you can use them, its great with Ext. Mags and Pen Ammo too, but I almost always come back to using sights on the Huntsman.

As someone who has used both enough to finish all of the Feats, I find the Partisan to be way more reliable and more effective in a larger number of situations. The Huntsman has absolutely horrendous hit detection and your accuracy drops off the face of the Earth when you fire quickly... which you need to do in order to match the damage output of most other weapons. It's a crapshoot.

Both weapons are reliant on headshots for killing power and are thus rendered impotent by Hard Target.

I personally find that if u can hit most/all of the bullets to the head the partisan is better, although if you are not that accurate at headshots the huntsman is a much better choice
