Glider Rig: How do you use it?

Ah the Glider Rig, the infamous piece of kit that has been the bane of many a player and the target of our rage along with the mighty body type however outside of the kamikazi giant brutes how do you use this rig?

Personal use I use it as a silent flanking tool as well as parachute. Most people I think expect if a glider passes them it is safe since they haven't landed on their head. 9/10 times I will just stop gliding and spin around, unload my shredder into their back. Is far easier getting headshots when they ain't looking and basically stuck on a set path. The parachute deal is merely if I am doing a jump where I think I could lose health I will deploy it half way down and just slow my descent so I can go into a fight with max health. I suppose it helps my burly overall . So anyone else use the Rig outside of the mighty dive bomb attack?

Yup, it has so many uses & flanking as you said is the best thing about it.

I use it mainly to get to the highest spots on the maps as I find that to be the best advantage, I'm still surprised by how many people don't look up..............I also think its the best gadget for Fumigation.

I rarely bomb, I use it to rush to other side, get behind with my silenced dawn patrol and shred... flanking but fancier way of explaining xD

When I use the Glider rig (which is rare), I use it to go to my objectives, not kills.

I use the Glider Rig on my Chaperone class.

I use it to flank people and as a starter to give me that extra boost of damage. I rarely use it as a straight weapon though, using it to surprise and then finish them off with my Chaperone. I use the Glider as a mobility tool and not a weapon like some do because I have to pick my targets carefully since the Chaperone can only do so much. Not that I would use it as a cheap instakill anyways.

To hear some of the people here talk about it, you use it by:

1) Point in general direction of enemy team

2) Press attack button

3) Entire enemy team explodes

4) LOL

I keed, I keed. I mostly use it for mobility, and to pick off lone runners. Anything else is just begging for me to get my face shot off once I land.
