How awesome is the Hatchet, how annoying is the feat?

Loving the Hatchet, sometimes when I get bored I go into a match only using the Hatchet, it has great distance and imagine the pissed off mighty who just denied a dive bomb, great for campers and snipers. However, Cleaning up my axe: retrieve 100 axes. ONE HUNDRED, I can only imagine getting this by boosting, I sometimes pick up my axe if i fail a sneak attack but other than that I'm too busy trying to stay alive to pick it up. I think I am up to 35 retrieved and I have been using it for a while.

I had one of those matches (pre-patch) where the entire other team quit, so all the people on the team that was left just hung around. I took that chance to finish the feat.

But seriously, what's so wrong with boosting it? This particular feat has nothing to do with skill - it's just pure tedium, and if you find the right spot it might only take you one match to finish it.

That's the easiest feat for the hatchet IMO. Lol, the kill enemy's after your dead was what took the longest..

Yeah ...I've still got two kills left for that, and then I'll have mastered the Hatchet. Of course, I haven't actually played with the Hatchet for weeks, but still.

post mortum kills was easiest for me just into firing enemy and throw. didnt say it was hard just annoying

Boosting isn't really hurting anybody in this situation, nor is it unfair. I certainly took advantage of the boosting aspect and finished all 100 in 1-2 matches. It's really boring and would take a long time if you didn't boost it, especially in my situation where I don't retrieve my hatchets 90% of the time.

i wouldnt really consider that boosting, the challenge is to pick up your axe. if they meant it as picking up your axe after a kill it wouldve been specified. i wouldnt waste a whole match doing it, but if you find yourself in one of those oh so common 6 on 1's then i see no harm in tossing an axe around while your teammates are playing fish in a barrel.

While you're walking from point A to point B just keep tossing your hatchet in front of you and picking it up. You don't even need to stand in a corner and boost, its just like bouncing a ball as you walk. A very pointy ball of death.
