We've been hearing some reports that players have had their stats totally reset when playing Gotham City Impostors. This usually happens when the upgrade from the trial to the full version occurs, but we just want to be sure. So, we're coming to you!

If this is something that has happened to you, please provide us with the following details:

MAY have been when I TRIED to unlock the full game ;)

This happened to me but only on the PS3 beta. The game froze and I had to manually shut down the console and everything was erased.

I HAVE A QUESTION ON THAT MATTER THOUGH

Is it possible to make backups on this game?

And I confess I'm scare s**tless of losing my stuff.

on a side note i played the trail and upgraded than quit and it reset, so im unsure if it was because of buying the full game or not. Also I do have the problem of my game upgrading to full, it still tells me how much trial time I have left. Thanks

Purchased full game before I even played the trial. It happened at about 10pm-12:01am last night. Feb 8.
Probably about 5 hours after purchasing it.

and it happened the next day. I gave a more in detail reply under your other unlock thread you started last night Skarr. but it occurred after I had turned off my system for two hours. As of right now i am still at the "Back in Trial Mode" screen being told my data is lost.

Edit: friend wasn't payiing attention and hit return to Trial mode so yeah....
P.S. got sent back to 1 and played a few lvls then in vain tried the relock one more time.... i am level one now for the 4th time. I was reset when my trial first went to unlock mode [figured it had something to do with the PS3 update] (lvl 12 at end of trial), then played about 5-6 hours (with a 6 hour break where the system was off and relogged on just fine (lvl 32 at this point), then after class two hours later i turned on my system and was meet with a back to lvl 1 message. So I have reset a few times and it is a little frustrating.
P.P.S. With all of that being said I love this game, and can't wait for it to get repaired and back online, then time I have played has been great so far.

I had just got to level 41. After a match I backed out to the main menu and hit the Xbox Guide button to quickplay Netflix. After watching an episode of Warehouse 13, taking my dog out for about a 20 minute walk and returning to my xbox, I started the honest to God Kick-assery that is Gotham City Impostors up to find that all my stats had been reset. I was so stunned, I thought I had been punished for purchasing it around 9 A.M. my time and playing it all day on the 8th, going to bed and waking up today to do the same. Could ya give a bro a hand?

It just happened again after starting it up. It's acting like I just purchased the game, asking me to set the extents of my screen and agree to the contracts and what not.

possibly related : I played the beta and had maxed out at level 25, and when I purchased the game all my progress was lost. I'm not sure if that was supposed to happen, and I can understand why it would only be fair that everyone start off on even footing on launch day, so that's no biggy, just thought I'd put it out there.

No, I had bought and played the full version. Had turned the turned the system off and on a few times, without a problem. Around midnight CST waited for the autosave warning to finish, turned the system off and the next morning the stats were gone.

I had noticed earlier in the day yesterday that the game had no save file under the "Saved Data Utility". Is there any way we can make a hard copy of our saves like every other game, retail or download? This seems like it would be an easy way to keep this from happening.

The reset happened when I was going to upgrade from the trial version. I backed out because I wanted to check something and I noticed that my stats had been reset.

This has just happened to me. I bought the game as soon as it was available, didn't even play the trial. The game crashed and I had to restart my system, which seems to have also reset my stats.

No it did not happen when I upgraded to the full version, I started with the full version. Up tell last night the only problems I had were the connection issues. Then I started getting kicked of Live, so I got off the game while in the main menu, turned off my console checked my internet to make sure it was still running properly, it was. Got back on and I was asked to set frame width and everything again like when I first downloaded the game. All stats reset.

I don't know but the only noticeable thing before the reset was me getting disconnected from Live which I noticed someone else on the forum having that problem. Other than that I don't know.

Also, don't know if this matters but I was in the beta and I do still have it on my hard drive.

No, I started with the full version. I had been playing it for a few hours today, and then I started to play a game of psych warfare. The game was loading, and then the game crashed. I had to restart my system, and when I got back on, everything had been reset for me.

I am posting again, because it just happened to me again. I played this afternoon, got to level 14. Waited for all autosave warnings to end, then quit the game, then turned the system off. Signed on 2 hours later and it asked me to resize the screen, and click on privacy agreements and my stats were completely gone. This is starting to get silly. I even tried turning the game off earlier, after gaining a level or two and it loaded just fine, but now it appears that if I turn my system off for more than a half an hour it resets my stats. In a game about unlocks and customization, where you don't stand a chance until level 8, this literally breaks the game. Play 2 hours before I can make a difference every time I sign off for any period over 30 minutes. It has nothing to do with the trial version, I never played the trial version. I had the beta but deleted it after getting the real game, is that my issue? Why would signing off for 10 minutes not reset my stats but an hour does? Please fix this I love this game but I currently feel I was sold a defective product, and I am sure one of your agreements we have to click to play mean we can't get a refund.

No, I was level 22 and randomly the internet went off for a few minutes and then it went back on and signed back on. It showed me the terms of use and then I accepted them. Then I looked at my player and I was back to level 1 with my stats reset. I hope this gets fixed soon and I'm really having fun with this game :( :).

When it happened: I directly turned off my xbox from the menu of the game and when I got back on it acted like I had never played the game before.

It happened to me when I had just got done playing the game. I went to the dashboard for a little while and when I got back on the game it prompted for all the introduction aspects again and my level had been reset to 1. A little while before this I had experienced a freeze that forced me to restart my xbox but it was at least an hour and a half before the actual stats reset happened and I continued playing for sometime after the freeze before the reset.

It happened from the beta to the full game. I played on for another day got to level 9, it signed me out of my PS3 account and everything was gone; still have my calling cards but no stats or anything that I have unlocked (costume coins etc. etc.) Pretty pissed because I really like this game.

Perhaps this has already been asked or is a stupid question but: In high hopes is there any way to retrieve the lost stats and unlocks?

My stats haven't completely reset, but my Kill/Death is incorrect. After every match it seems to add an xtra 3-6 deaths that I didn't get (not during a game, but when I go look at my stat tracking). It also takes away a kill or 2 sometimes.. So, in example- I could have a K/D of 200k/200d, play a game and go 10k/5d- and look at my stats afterwards and they be 209k/210d.. PLEASE help.I love this game, but am very competitive, so I want my stats to be accurate. :) THNKS!

So is there any chance of restoring these stats or have we all lost our progress?

I got the game without trying the trial! I was level 54. I last played at around 1 am or so.I started the game at 10 am and it made me set the screen and accept all the agreements again. Please fix this... I WAS LVL 54!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

mines reset when i changed from beta to trial then reset again when unlocking the full game. my KD has taken a hard hit by it. if you could get my stats back I would be greatful but im not to fussed as this game has been the best I have played in years :-)

I'm reposting because, Like Stamos11, all my progress has been reset multiple times, and I feel I have been thoroughly butt-***** without a courtesy spit. Judging from 4 pages of posters and not a single reply from anyone important, there's nothing that can be done about getting any original stats back. It's almost to the point where everytime I start up the game (full version, never had the trial, only the beta) I'm setting screen width and agreeing to legal ****. If you can't tell, it's starting to upset me. I realize it's a game, but this is ridiculous. People paid money for a game that is turning out to be defective as hell. I had such high hopes for this game, and I enjoy playing it, but not when I have to start over every time. I'm really starting to believe that it was a waste of $20. I realize the game is only 1200 MS points on xboxLIVE, but you still have to buy 1600, which is $20. I'm glad I decided not to purchase anything else for the game with the extra points I had left over. I'd be much more pissed off if I had. Hopefully you guys are actually reading these posts, and are actually doing something about the issue, because it only seems to be getting worse. I'm afraid if it does happen again, It's going to make me want to delete the game from my hard drive so I don't ever have to deal with my stuff getting taken away again. I'll remain hopeful, but this issue has taken the honest to God kick-assery and thrown it all out the window.

To those of you that are having this issue: Did anything odd happen leading up to the stat loss? For example, a power outage or loss of Internet connection?

I think I said this in my post before, but I was in a game of pysch warfare. When the game was loading to start, it crashed my xbox 360 and reset everything.

Thank you for responding, I had no odd happenings leading up to both resets. I exited matching making normally, waited for the autosave warning to finish then turned off my system. The second time I did the same thing, but quit the game before turning off the system.
